SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) is an initiative by the Government of India designed to achieve the three cardinal principles of education policy, namely, access, equity, and quality. It offers free online courses from premier institutions like IITs, IIMs, NPTEL, IGNOU, and more. Learners can opt for certification by appearing in a proctored exam, and credits may be transferred to their academic program as per UGC norms and Monark University policy.

Follow the steps below to enroll in a SWAYAM course:
Visit the SWAYAM official portal: https://swayam.gov.in
Sign up or log in using your email ID and mobile number.
Browse available courses from the University-approved course list.
Select your preferred course and click 'Join'.
Enroll before the deadline and start attending classes online.
Begin the course and participate in assignments and quizzes.
Register separately for the proctored exam if you wish to earn certification and academic credit.
Appear for the exam at the designated center and pass to earn credits.
These guidelines are framed in accordance with UGC regulations for SWAYAM/NPTEL online course credit transfer. The purpose is to ensure smooth integration of SWAYAM learning into the university curriculum.
Students can opt for only one (1) course per semester.
The selected course must be within 20% of the semester's total credits.
Credit transfer is subject to prior approval by the University's SWAYAM Credit Transfer Committee.
Students must appear and pass the SWAYAM proctored exam to be eligible for credit transfer.
Marks obtained in the SWAYAM course will be reflected in the academic transcript.
