Civil Engineering
Bachelor in Civil Engineering is a four years course spanning over eight semesters. The aim of this course is to create the expertise in design, development and maintenance of civil engineering projects such as buildings, cannals, tunnels, airports, bridges etc. The course offers plan, design and supervision of construction facilities which are essential to modern life like space satellites and launching facilities, offshore drilling structures, bridges, buildings, highways and other transport systems, tunnels, airport, dams, harbors and other infrastructure.
Program Outcomes
Application of knowledge for mathematics, science and engineering. To design and conduct experiments and analyze data. To identify, formulate problems, understand professional and ethical responsibility. Understand the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental and societal context. To make use of techniques, skills and modern engineering tools. To apply probability and statistics to address uncertainty; analyze and solve problems in at least four technical areas appropriate to civil engineering. To Design a system, component, or process in at least two civil engineering contexts; include principles of sustainability in design. To gain knowledge of basic concepts in project management, business, public policy, and leadership; analyze issues in professional ethics; and explain the importance of professional licensure.
